What’s inside — detailed highlights

The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance launch readers into Roshar, a world of storm-lashed landscapes and complex magic. Edgedancer offers a character-rich novella that deepens fan-favorite storylines. Oathbringer and Rhythm of War continue the epic arc with political intrigue, moral dilemmas, and large-scale battles. The Mistborn Saga spans eras and tones — from the ash-choked society of Mistborn to later-age adventures combining heist, western, and epic elements. Together, these books showcase Sanderson’s signature “hard magic” systems, propulsive plotting, and emotional depth.

Outside of the Cosmere, he has written several young adult and juvenile series including The Reckoners, the Skyward series, and the Alcatraz series. He is also known for finishing author Robert Jordan's high fantasy series The Wheel of Time. Sanderson has created two graphic novels, including White Sand and Dark One. In 2008, Sanderson started a podcast with the horror writer Dan Wells and the cartoonist Howard Tayler called Writing Excuses, involving topics about creating genre writing and webcomics. In 2016, the American media company DMG Entertainment licensed the film rights to Sanderson's entire Cosmere universe, but the rights have since reverted back to Sanderson.
