About the Author:

Sally Morgan is an Indigenous Australian author and artist, best known for her 1987 autobiographical book My Place, which tells the story of her family's search for their Aboriginal heritage. Born in Perth, Western Australia, she is also a painter, dramatist, and has written and illustrated numerous books, many of which focus on children and Aboriginal culture. Her work has received several awards, and she has been recognized as a director at the University of Western Australia's Centre for Indigenous History and the Arts.
