About The Author :

Professor Howick’s mission is to improve people’s health and wellbeing via inspirational and evidence-based teaching. He is the inaugural Director of the Stoneygate Centre for Empathic Healthcare and Professor of Empathic Healthcare at the University of Leicester. He also a fellow of Kellogg College, Oxford, where he directs the Oxford Empathy Programme.
His mission is to ensure that all healthcare consultations include a dose of empathy and he achieves this by using evidence-based methods to develop and deliver empathy training to practitioners in the UK, US, Canada, and elsewhere.
