About the Author:

Beskow was born in Kingston-upon-Hull to parents James Beskow, a bank manager, and Dorothy Beskow, a nursery nurse, and lived in the Yorkshire coastal town of Withernsea until the age of 11. The family, along with older sister Carolyne, moved to the Yorkshire market town of Beverley. Beskow was a pupil at Longcroft School, Beverley.[2]Following studies in health and social care at Hull College, Beskow moved to London in 2006 to study BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy at St George's, University of London.[2]She resided in south London, where she started to develop a passion for cooking after visiting Tooting Market. Beskow became Veganism within weeks of moving to London aged 18, and has told media publications that she made the decision to become vegan based on "ethics, and a cheaper way to eat".Beskow received a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy in 2009 from St. George’s, University of London.
