Overview
All aboard for a world of steam, speed and suspense! This paperback collection brings together three thrilling instalments of the bestselling Adventures on Trains series, following young detective Harrison "Hal" Beck as he criss-crosses the globe on legendary locomotives. From the misty hills of Scotland to the plains of Southern Africa and the mountains of the American West, each book combines a gripping whodunit with stunning illustrated detail, making this the perfect boxed introduction for young mystery fans, reluctant readers and railway enthusiasts alike.

About the Books
The Highland Falcon Thief introduces Harrison Beck, reluctantly joining his travel-writer Uncle Nat for the final journey of the royal train. When a priceless brooch vanishes, Hal must use his sharp eye for detail to catch the thief before the train reaches the end of the line. In Kidnap on the California Comet, Hal joins Uncle Nat on the iconic three-day rail journey from Chicago to San Francisco. The trip turns dangerous when a billionaire's daughter disappears mid-journey, and Hal races to unmask the kidnapper before the Comet's final stop. In Murder on the Safari Star, Hal and Uncle Nat travel aboard a luxurious steam train from Pretoria to Victoria Falls. Amid close encounters with African wildlife, a passenger is found dead in a locked compartment, and Hal teams up with new friend Winston to determine whether it was accident or something far more sinister. Each story stands alone yet shares Hal's growing confidence as an amateur detective, richly illustrated and packed with real historical and geographical detail about the trains and destinations involved.
