About the Author
Ali Sparkes is a British children's author best known for the Shapeshifter series, first published by Oxford University Press. Before writing fiction, she worked as a journalist for the Southern Daily Echo and BBC Radio Solent, experience that shaped her sharp, fast-moving storytelling style. Since her debut novel, Finding the Fox, launched the Shapeshifter series, she has gone on to write numerous other titles for young readers, including standalone thrillers and further series, earning a loyal following among children who enjoy action-packed, imaginative fiction.
