About the Author
Ali Sparkes is a British children's author born in 1966. Before turning to fiction, she worked as a journalist for the Southern Daily Echo and as a broadcaster for BBC Radio Solent. Her debut novel, Frozen in Time, launched her career with Oxford University Press in 2009 and won the Blue Peter Book Award. She is best known for her bestselling Shapeshifter series, alongside spin-off series Unleashed and S.W.I.T.C.H., plus acclaimed standalone adventures for young readers.
