About the Author
Serena Patel is a British author who created the Anisha, Accidental Detective series, published by Usborne from 2020, with illustrations by Emma McCann. Drawing on her own upbringing, Patel wanted young readers to see themselves reflected in a fun, family-centred mystery series. The books have won and been shortlisted for numerous awards, including the Sainsbury's Children's Book Award, and the series is currently being adapted for television by BBC Studios.
