Overview
Discover the gripping world of Ann Cleeves in this 14-book paperback collection, bringing together her two most celebrated crime series: Vera Stanhope and Shetland. Both series have been adapted into hugely popular television dramas, ITV's Vera and BBC's Shetland, watched by millions across the UK. This set is perfect for fans of atmospheric British crime fiction who want to follow Detective Inspector Vera Stanhope through Northumberland and Detective Jimmy Perez through the windswept Shetland Islands, all in one brand-new collection.

About the Books
This collection brings together seven titles from each of Ann Cleeves' iconic detective series. The Vera Stanhope novels — Telling Tales, Harbour Street, Silent Voices, Hidden Depths, The Glass Room, The Crow Trap and The Moth Catcher — follow the brilliant, unconventional Detective Inspector Vera Stanhope as she unravels complex, character-driven mysteries across Northumberland, working alongside her loyal partner Joe Ashworth. The Shetland novels — Blue Lightning, Raven Black, White Nights, Red Bones, Cold Earth, Thin Air and Dead Water — introduce readers to Detective Jimmy Perez, whose investigations play out against the dramatic, isolated backdrop of the Shetland Islands. Each book stands as a self-contained mystery, rich in atmosphere, psychological depth and carefully layered plotting, while together they showcase the qualities that have made Cleeves one of Britain's most acclaimed crime writers: authentic regional settings, empathetic characterisation and twists that keep readers guessing to the final page. Whether you already love the television adaptations or are discovering these detectives for the first time in print, this set offers hours of addictive reading and a deeper, more nuanced take on the stories behind the screen.

About the Author
Ann Cleeves is a bestselling British crime writer and the author behind the books that inspired ITV's Vera and BBC's Shetland. Her Vera Stanhope series is set in Northumberland, while her Shetland series follows DI Jimmy Perez across the Shetland Islands. Before becoming a full-time author, Cleeves worked as a bird observatory cook, auxiliary coastguard and probation officer, experiences that shaped the authentic settings of her novels. She won the Crime Writers' Association's Duncan Lawrie Dagger for Raven Black, the first Shetland novel.

Why You'll Love This Collection
Fans of gripping, character-led British crime fiction will love working through fourteen atmospheric mysteries in one go, following two of television's best-loved detectives from page one, in the order that first brought them to life.
