Overview
At Home is the celebrated third cookbook from Monica Galetti, star of MasterChef: The Professionals and chef-owner of Mere in Fitzrovia. Moving away from fine-dining formality, Monica shares the relaxed, flavour-packed dishes she cooks for her own family and friends. Arranged around real moments at the table — breakfasts, weeknight suppers, weekend feasts and celebratory get-togethers — this hardback collection blends her Samoan, New Zealand and classical French influences into approachable, achievable recipes for home cooks of every skill level.
About the Book
Across 192 beautifully photographed pages, At Home takes readers through Monica Galetti's own kitchen rituals, chapter by chapter: Chilled-Out Breakfasts (including banana waffles and Eggs Benedict with sriracha hollandaise), Weeknights (quick, punchy dishes like spring onion tempura and sweetcorn fritters), The Perfect Sunday (showstoppers such as pork shoulder with pistachio stuffing and beer-battered fish with rosemary salt chips), and Family Get-Togethers for bigger gatherings and shared plates. Monica draws on her upbringing between Samoa and New Zealand and her twelve years working under Michel Roux Jr at the two-Michelin-starred Le Gavroche, translating restaurant-level technique into recipes that use everyday supermarket ingredients. The tone throughout is warm and encouraging rather than intimidating — this is a chef writing as a home cook first, sharing shortcuts, flavour tricks and family favourites she genuinely returns to again and again. With 71 photographs illustrating the finished dishes and key techniques, it's a cookbook designed to be used, splattered and returned to, not left untouched on a shelf. Whether you're planning a quiet weeknight dinner or hosting a full Sunday spread, the recipes are built to flex with real life.
