About the Author
Benjamin Alire Sáenz is an acclaimed author of poetry and prose for adults and teens, and the first Hispanic winner of the PEN/Faulkner Award, as well as a recipient of the American Book Award. He is best known for Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, a Printz Honor Book, Stonewall Award winner, Pura Belpré Award winner and Lambda Literary Award winner, and its sequel, Aristotle and Dante Dive Into the Waters of the World. His other novels for teens include Sammy and Juliana in Hollywood and He Forgot to Say Goodbye. He lives and teaches creative writing in El Paso, Texas.
