Overview:
Discover three celebrated novels from Booker Prize-winning author Bernardine Evaristo in one brand-new paperback collection. Soul Tourists, Mr Loverman and Blonde Roots showcase Evaristo's daring, genre-blending storytelling and her gift for exploring race, identity, sexuality and history through unforgettable characters. Ideal for literary fiction fans, book clubs and readers who loved Girl, Woman, Other, this set is a rewarding introduction to one of Britain's most important contemporary authors.

About the Books:
Soul Tourists follows Stanley Williams, a buttoned-up London banker grieving his father, swept into a road trip across Europe by the irrepressible Jessie O'Donnell, colliding along the way with forgotten figures from black European history. Mr Loverman introduces Barrington Jedidiah Walker, a seventy-four-year-old Antiguan-born Hackney character who has spent decades hiding his true self from his wife and family; told with Shakespearean flourish and heart, it is a groundbreaking portrait of Britain's older Caribbean community, later adapted into a major BBC television drama starring Lennie James. Blonde Roots imagines the transatlantic slave trade in reverse, following Doris, a young Englishwoman captured and enslaved by an African empire - a sharp, satirical and unflinching novel that confronts the machinery of slavery from an entirely new angle. Together, these three novels reveal the extraordinary range of Evaristo's imagination, moving between comedy, tragedy, satire and history, united by a fearless curiosity about identity, belonging and the untold stories within Britain's past and present.
