Overview
The Cara Hunter DI Fawley Series 6 Books Collection Set brings together every instalment of the Sunday Times bestselling police procedural saga in one brand new paperback bundle. Set on the deceptively ordinary streets of Oxford, each novel follows Detective Inspector Adam Fawley as he unravels crimes hiding behind respectable front doors. Perfect for crime fiction fans, book clubs and gift buyers, this set delivers hours of twisty, character-driven suspense from a writer often compared to Broadchurch and Line of Duty.
About the Books
The collection opens with Close to Home, the series debut in which eight-year-old Daisy Mason vanishes from a family party and every neighbour claims to have seen nothing. In the Dark follows, as a woman and child are found barely alive in a locked basement with no missing person report to explain them. No Way Out sees Fawley face one of his most disturbing cases, when two children are pulled from a burning house at Christmas. In All the Rage, a distressed teenager describes an abduction that feels unsettlingly familiar. The Whole Truth tests the team when an Oxford student accuses a professor of sexual assault. The set closes with Hope to Die, where a fresh murder reopens a historic miscarriage-of-justice case, thrusting the team into intense media scrutiny. Throughout, Hunter blends procedural detail with real emotional depth, using mixed-media extracts such as transcripts and news reports to pull readers into each investigation, exploring how ordinary communities react when tragedy strikes close to home.
About the Author
Cara Hunter is the pen name of an author who lives in Oxford, on a street not unlike those featured in her novels. She holds a degree and PhD in English from Oxford University and turned to crime writing after years of watching acclaimed television drama. Her DI Adam Fawley series began with Close to Home in 2017, a Richard and Judy Book Club pick shortlisted for Crime Book of the Year, and has sold more than a million copies worldwide, with TV rights acquired by the Fremantle group.
Why You'll Love This Collection
If you love slow-burn mysteries with real emotional stakes, this set delivers six addictive, twist-filled investigations in one go, letting you experience the full Fawley saga without the wait between books.
