Bringing together The Shadow of the Wind, The Angel's Game, The Prisoner of Heaven, The Labyrinth of the Spirits and The City of Mist, this set is the definitive way to experience Zafón's atmospheric, interlinked saga of the Cemetery of Forgotten Books, ideal for new readers and longtime fans, and a wonderful gift for lovers of gothic literary fiction.
About the Books
This collection gathers Carlos Ruiz Zafón's celebrated Cemetery of Forgotten Books saga. It begins with The Shadow of the Wind, in which ten-year-old Daniel Sempere is taken to a hidden library of forgotten titles and chooses a novel that will alter his life, drawing him into a decades-old mystery of love, betrayal and vengeance. The Angel's Game follows struggling writer David Martin as he accepts a sinister commission from a mysterious publisher in an abandoned Barcelona mansion, blurring fiction and reality. The Prisoner of Heaven returns to Daniel and Bea, now married with a young son, as a stranger's visit to the Sempere & Sons bookshop unravels long-buried secrets tied to the family's past. The Labyrinth of the Spirits brings the saga to its sweeping conclusion, following a grown Daniel as he confronts the legacy of the novel that shaped his childhood, against the backdrop of Franco-era Barcelona. Finally, The City of Mist gathers further stories set within the same haunting universe, following writers, dreamers and lost souls drawn to books and the city that binds them together. Spanning war-torn history, gothic romance and literary intrigue, each volume offers a richly atmospheric journey through secret libraries, old bookshops and Barcelona's winding alleyways.
