Overview
Dive into six pulse-pounding SAS thrillers from Chris Ryan, the former Special Air Service sergeant whose own daring escape from Iraq made him one of Britain's bestselling authors. This brand-new paperback collection brings together Zero Option, Blackout, The Watchman, Land Of Fire, Greed and Hit List, each drawing on Ryan's genuine military background for fast, authentic, high-stakes action across covert operations, betrayal and survival. Perfect for established thriller fans and gift-buyers alike, this six-book set offers a shelf's worth of gritty, page-turning reads in one great-value bundle.
About the Books
Zero Option plunges SAS Sergeant Geordie Sharp into two top-secret, deniable missions, the first commanding a black-ops hit team where failure means the authorities disown him entirely. Blackout follows tough soldier Josh Harding, seconded to MI6's anti-terrorism unit, chasing young hackers across America after the mysterious Three Cities attacks. In The Watchman, SAS Captain Alex Temple hunts an insider murdering MI5 officers, aided by an abrasive liaison officer as the case turns personal. Land Of Fire drops young trooper Mark Black behind enemy lines in the Falklands War, tasked with capturing an Argentine spy and planning a raid on a fortified airbase. Greed sees ex-SAS man Matt Browning, drowning in debt, offered a deadly lifeline: a sanctioned hit on an al-Qaeda target with MI5's help. Hit List opens with the real-world assassination of Robert Maxwell at sea, unravelling a conspiracy at the heart of the British Establishment. Across all six novels, Ryan draws on his decade in the Regiment and his own legendary escape from Iraq to give every mission a ring of authenticity rarely matched in the genre. Themes of loyalty, betrayal and survival run throughout, as ordinary soldiers face extraordinary situations, delivering relentless pacing and tightly plotted set-pieces.
Key Benefits
About the Author
Chris Ryan is the pen name of Colin Armstrong MM, born in 1961 near Newcastle, who joined the SAS in 1984 and served a decade in covert and overt operations worldwide. During the 1991 Gulf War he was the only member of an eight-man SAS patrol to escape capture, walking roughly 190 miles through hostile desert to the Syrian border, an ordeal earning him the Military Medal. He recounted this in the bestseller The One That Got Away before building a long career writing high-octane thrillers, non-fiction and books for teenage readers.
Why You'll Love This Collection
Six relentless, expertly plotted thrillers from a writer who has actually lived the missions he describes. Ideal for fans of Andy McNab, this set delivers non-stop action and authentic tradecraft from cover to cover.
