About the Author
Thomas Michael Bond CBE (13 January 1926 – 27 June 2017) was an English author best known for creating Paddington Bear. First introduced in 1958, Paddington became one of the most beloved characters in children's literature, with more than 35 million books sold worldwide and adaptations spanning television, film and stage. Bond was appointed CBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours in 2015 for his services to children's literature.
