Overview

From a hilarious near-future Christmas caper to a viral fame comedy and a time-slip friendship adventure, each brand-new paperback delivers Baddiel's trademark warmth, wit and heart. Perfect for confident readers aged 8 to 11, this set makes a brilliant gift for birthdays, Christmas, or simply to spark a lifelong love of reading.
About the Books
Virtually Christmas imagines a festive season hijacked by "Winterzone," where robots, Santavatars and ZoneDrones have replaced everything that once made Christmas special. When Etta and her friend Monty stumble on a curious clue, they race to find the real Santa and rescue Christmas before it's lost forever. The Boy Who Got Accidentally Famous follows ordinary schoolboy Billy Smith, whose life is turned upside down when a viral video of a school presentation catapults him to overnight stardom. With best friends Bo and Rinor at his side, Billy is swept into a whirlwind of red carpets, TV appearances and celebrity encounters, discovering that fame always comes at a price. Future Friend takes readers 1,001 years into the future, where lonely Pip escapes her virtual, screen-bound world through a glowing ring and lands in 2019, meeting equally lonely boy-inventor Rahul. Together they navigate talking animals, family secrets and the tricky business of finding a way home. Across all three books, Baddiel blends sharp comedy, big ideas and genuine emotional depth, making this a brilliant introduction to his acclaimed children's fiction for newcomers and existing fans alike.
