Overview
Escape to the sun-soaked island of Saint-Marie with this addictive 4-book collection from Robert Thorogood, the creator of BBC's hit series Death in Paradise. Following the fabulously grumpy DI Richard Poole as he solves impossible locked-room murders, this set delivers classic whodunit puzzles wrapped in glorious Caribbean sunshine, dry British wit and a cast of eccentric suspects. Perfect for cosy crime fans and Death in Paradise devotees alike, these standalone mysteries can be read in any order and make a brilliant gift.

About the Books
This collection brings together all four of Robert Thorogood's Richard Poole murder mystery novels, each set on the fictional island of Saint-Marie. In A Meditation on Murder, the leader of a spiritual retreat is stabbed inside a locked meditation room, and DI Poole must prove that the person who has already confessed couldn't possibly be guilty. The Killing of Polly Carter sees Poole investigating the apparent suicide of a supermodel who everyone insists would never have taken her own life, uncovering a web of feuds and alibis among her glamorous circle. In Death Knocks Twice, a vagrant is found dead at the historic Beaumont plantation in a room locked from the inside, and just as the case seems closed, a second body appears. Finally, Murder in the Caribbean opens with a boat exploding in the harbour, sending Poole and his team on the trail of a ruthless new killer who leaves behind a single ruby as a calling card. Each novel is a fiendishly clever, fair-play puzzle in the classic golden-age tradition, packed with red herrings, sharp humour and the sun-drenched atmosphere that made the TV series a global hit. Fans of Agatha Christie and the Death in Paradise TV show will find these books utterly irresistible, with four complete mysteries to keep armchair detectives guessing.
