Overview
Step into Manchester's fog-wrapped streets with this complete ten-book paperback collection of M J Lee's DI Ridpath crime thriller series. Following Detective Inspector Thomas Ridpath from his uneasy return to duty through a decade of escalating cases, this set delivers ten twisting, atmospheric mysteries in publication order — a library-ready collection for commutes, holidays, or a dedicated crime-fiction binge.

About the Books
This collection gathers the full run of the DI Ridpath series, beginning with Where the Truth Lies, in which Ridpath — once celebrated for capturing a notorious serial killer — returns to duty after serious illness, only for a familiar murder to reopen old wounds. The series continues through Where the Dead Fall and Where the Silence Calls, as Ridpath rebuilds his career while probing a suspicious house fire, before Where the Innocent Die draws him into a death inside an Immigration Removal Centre. When the Past Kills and When the Evil Waits bring the shadow of the "Beast of Manchester" case back into his life, while When the Guilty Cry centres on a disturbing discovery of embalmed remains. When the Night Ends sees riots erupt after a death in police custody, What the Shadows Hide uncovers long-hidden bodies in a bricked-up Victorian warehouse, and the set closes with What the Dead Want, a tense investigation into a missing teenager. Throughout, Ridpath's illness, fractured marriage, and unusual dual role liaising between Greater Manchester Police and the Coroner's Office give the series real emotional depth.

  • Complete ten-book paperback run of a genuinely popular British detective series
  • Atmospheric Manchester setting with a richly developed recurring cast
  • Perfect for fans of Mark Billingham, Peter James and other police-procedural authors
  • Great value way to own the whole series in one matching paperback set
  • Ideal gift for crime and thriller readers, book clubs, and collectors
