Overview
Step back into the wild, windswept landscapes of North Wales with three gripping instalments from Simon McCleave's bestselling DI Ruth Hunter Crime Thriller series. This collection brings together books twelve, thirteen and fourteen — The Chirk Castle Killings, The Portmeirion Killings, and The Llandudno Pier Killings — each a fast-paced police procedural packed with twists, red herrings and atmospheric Snowdonia settings. Perfect for crime fiction fans who love a strong female detective lead, this set is a must-have addition to any thriller collection or the ideal gift for a devoted McCleave reader.

About the Books
In The Chirk Castle Killings, DI Ruth Hunter and DS Nick Evans investigate a fatal shooting at the historic Chirk Castle. The only witness is Daniel, the victim's ten-year-old son, and as Ruth digs deeper she uncovers a link to stolen drugs — until a second, brutal murder forces her to rethink the case.

The Portmeirion Killings sees a London journalist run off the road and killed, apparently connected to his investigation into a controversial nuclear plant. Ruth must untangle whether an American power company with a troubled past is protecting its secrets, or whether the truth lies closer to home.

Finally, The Llandudno Pier Killings opens when the body of a local boat tour operator is found on the beach beside the famous pier. What first appears to be business rivalry soon spirals into something far more complex once a secret relationship and a second hidden body come to light.

Across all three novels, McCleave delivers tightly plotted mysteries and a genuine sense of place that has made the Snowdonia series a firm favourite with UK crime readers.
