About the Books
Each novel stands entirely on its own, so readers can begin anywhere and enjoy a tightly plotted mystery. Nerve follows jockey Rob Finn as a malicious campaign threatens to destroy his career and his nerve. Bonecrack sees trainer's son Neil Griffon abducted and forced into a dangerous ultimatum. Knock Down follows bloodstock agent Jonah Dereham as he faces sabotage and violence. Come To Grief reunites readers with investigator Sid Halley as he probes a shocking series of horse mutilations. Whip Hand, also featuring Sid Halley, draws on insider racing knowledge to crack crimes that baffle the police. Smokescreen takes actor Edward Lincoln from the film set to a globe-trotting chase involving assassins and deception. Risk follows amateur jockey and accountant Roland Britten as he is targeted by ruthless fraudsters. Bolt entangles jockey Kit Fielding in political and corporate danger when a Princess's family is threatened. 10-Lb Penalty follows teenage jockey hopeful Benedict Juliard as a false accusation derails his dream. Reflex follows jockey and amateur photographer Philip Nore as he uncovers secrets hidden in a single photograph. Together, these ten novels showcase the authenticity and pace that made Francis a bestselling name for five decades.
