Overview
This Dog Man 5 Books Collection Set gathers the first five graphic novels in Dav Pilkey's phenomenally popular series, following the crime-fighting, half-dog, half-man hero as he battles a rogues' gallery of cats, clones and criminals. Bursting with full-colour cartoon artwork, slapstick humour and Pilkey's trademark Flip-O-Rama action, this brand new paperback set is perfect for reluctant readers, graphic novel fans, and anyone who has loved Captain Underpants.
About the Books
When a police officer and his loyal dog are both injured in the line of duty, an emergency operation saves them both by combining the dog's head with the officer's body — and Dog Man is born. Across these five books, Dog Man juggles his doggy instincts with his duty to fight crime, facing his arch-nemesis Petey the Cat, a criminal genius with a soft spot he'd rather not admit to. In Dog Man Unleashed, our hero's early antics keep readers hooked from page one, while A Tale of Two Kitties sees Petey clone himself, accidentally creating the sweet, mischievous Li'l Petey. Dog Man and Cat Kid finds Dog Man teaming up with his new kitten sidekick for a mystery-packed caper, and in Lord of the Fleas, the Supa Buddies join forces with Petey to stop a fresh wave of baddies from taking over the town. Created by George and Harold, the fictional authors from Pilkey's Captain Underpants universe, each instalment blends riotous comic-book energy with genuinely heartfelt themes of friendship, forgiveness and self-belief.
About the Author
Dav Pilkey is the bestselling creator of the Captain Underpants and Dog Man series. As a child, Pilkey was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia and was often sent to sit in the school hallway for being disruptive — time he spent inventing the comic-book characters that would later become Dog Man and Captain Underpants. He has since won the Caldecott Honor and multiple state children's choice awards, and his books have sold hundreds of millions of copies worldwide, translated into dozens of languages.
Why You'll Love This Dog Man Collection
