About the Author
Dav Pilkey was diagnosed with ADHD and dyslexia as a child, and channelled his energy into drawing, creating the earliest versions of Dog Man and Captain Underpants while sitting out in the school hallway. He won a national competition in 1986, launching his career, and later received the 1998 California Young Reader Medal and a 1997 Caldecott Honor.
