Overview
Step inside the magical world of Smallbridge with this three-book Elsie Pickles collection from bestselling author Kaye Umansky. When sensible shopkeeper's daughter Elsie agrees to house-sit for the mysterious witch Magenta Sharp, her ordinary life is turned upside down by talking ravens, wandering towers and spells that never quite behave. Packed with warmth, wit and mischief, these funny magical adventures are perfect for newly confident readers who love giggles alongside their gasps, bringing three complete stories together in one enchanting paperback bundle for reading alone or sharing at bedtime.
About the Books
This collection gathers three adventures starring the wonderfully practical Elsie Pickles. In Witch for a Week, Elsie offers to house-sit the mysterious home of local witch Magenta Sharp with no idea what she is getting into. Left with a talking raven, a scruffy dog, a magical tower with a mind of its own and a book called Everything You Need to Know, Elsie quickly finds that house-sitting is far trickier than she thought. In Wish for a Witch, Elsie is home again and finding normal life a little dull, until Magenta needs help with her mail-order magic service, Sharp Spells on Tap. Mischief and marvellous magic soon transform Elsie's world, including a memorable trip to a magical superstore. In Witches (Un)Welcome, it is summertime in Smallbridge and, as ever, nothing stays quiet for long as fresh chaos and cheeky magic keep Elsie on her toes. Together the stories brim with memorable characters, fun and charm.
