Overview:
Step inside Grim Falls Academy, a school for supernatural students where tentacled teachers and rampaging trolls are just an ordinary Tuesday. This three-book paperback set follows Seb, Victor and friends through hilarious mysteries. Written and illustrated by Louise Forshaw, shortlisted for The People's Book Prize 2023, it's a brilliant bridge into confident chapter-book reading.

About the Books:
Louise Forshaw's Grim Falls Academy series delivers three fast, funny, delightfully spooky adventures. In "Don't Eat the Soup!", Seb and Victor keep their bizarre school running while dodging tentacle-sprouting teachers and a confused new human classmate, all before a dreaded inspection. "Don't Feed the Glob!" turns up the chaos as a hungry, ever-growing blob threatens to swallow the academy, forcing Seb, Victor and Tabby to work together before there's nothing left to save. "Don't Open the Box!" sees a mysterious artefact unleash a rampaging troll and transform the corridors into a wild forest, with Seb's well-meaning wish spiralling out of control. Forshaw's short chapters, punchy dialogue and expressive illustrations keep young readers turning pages, while friendship and teamwork give the silliness real substance — capturing exactly what a school for monsters should feel like: strange, chaotic, a little scary, and a lot of fun.

Key Benefits:

  • Three complete, self-illustrated adventures from a shortlisted author for The People's Book Prize 2023.

  • Makes a thoughtful gift for birthdays, World Book Day or as a reading-reward bundle.
