Overview:
This brand-new paperback set brings together three of Haruki Murakami's most celebrated novels — Norwegian Wood, Kafka on the Shore and The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle. Published by Vintage, these editions showcase Murakami's signature blend of quiet realism and surreal imagination. A must-have for literary fiction fans, book clubs and newcomers alike, the set is an ideal gift or personal library addition for adult readers who love introspective, genre-bending storytelling.

About the Books:
Norwegian Wood is Murakami's breakout international bestseller, a tender coming-of-age story set in 1960s Tokyo. Told through the eyes of college student Toru Watanabe, it traces first love, grief and the fragile bonds of youth against the backdrop of a changing Japan — a work that first propelled Murakami into the literary spotlight worldwide. Kafka on the Shore follows two intertwined journeys: a runaway teenage boy escaping an Oedipal prophecy, and an elderly man who can talk to cats. Cats converse, fish fall from the sky, and a spectral pimp quotes Hegel in this dreamlike, riddle-filled masterpiece that blurs the line between memory, fate and the subconscious. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle completes the set with a sprawling, hypnotic narrative in which an ordinary man's search for his missing cat unravels into a labyrinth of wartime history, dreams and disappearance. Together, the three novels distil what makes Murakami one of the world's most acclaimed contemporary authors: melancholic, hypnotic prose; deep psychological insight; and a restless curiosity about identity, memory and the strange spaces between the everyday and the uncanny. Whether read individually or as a set, these novels reward slow, immersive reading and make an excellent introduction for newcomers and long-time fans alike.

  • Three acclaimed Murakami novels in one brand-new paperback set
  • Perfect introduction to Japan's most internationally celebrated contemporary author
  • Ideal gift for fans of literary fiction, magical realism and book club reads
  • Genuinely collectible — a strong addition to any home library
  • Great value compared to buying each title separately

About the Author:
