Overview
Journey to Middle-earth with this beloved four-book paperback set from J.R.R. Tolkien, uniting The Hobbit with the full Lord of the Rings trilogy. First produced to mark the 75th anniversary of The Hobbit, this collection is a popular way to own the complete saga in one giftable package, delivering the whole story of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins from Bag End to Mount Doom.

About the Books
This four-volume set brings together some of the most celebrated fantasy fiction ever written. The Hobbit opens the story, introducing homebody Bilbo Baggins as he is pulled from his quiet life by the wizard Gandalf and a company of thirteen dwarves, facing trolls, goblins and the dragon Smaug on a quest to reclaim a lost mountain kingdom. That adventure sets the stage for The Lord of the Rings, in which Bilbo's nephew Frodo inherits a dangerous ring and joins the Fellowship on a mission to destroy it before the Dark Lord Sauron can use it to conquer Middle-earth. Across The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers and The Return of the King, hobbits, elves, dwarves, wizards and men unite in a sweeping tale of friendship, sacrifice and courage. These books have sold well over 150 million copies worldwide, shaped the modern fantasy genre, and inspired a landmark film series. Presented as a matching four-book paperback set, the collection is ideal for reading the saga in sequence or introducing a new reader to Tolkien's world.
