Overview
Step into the sun-baked world of Sicily with this ten-book paperback collection covering Andrea Camilleri's Inspector Montalbano mysteries, books eleven through twenty. Each novel delivers a self-contained case for the sharp-witted, food-loving detective Salvo Montalbano, blending clever plotting with dry humour and rich local colour. A must-have set for established fans completing the series, or newcomers wanting an immersive block of Vigàta's most memorable investigations in one collectible edition.
About the Books
This set gathers ten instalments from the phenomenally successful Montalbano series, each translated for English-language readers and set against the vivid, sun-drenched backdrop of the fictional Sicilian town of Vigàta. In The Wings of the Sphinx, a mutilated body in an illegal dump draws Montalbano into a case involving trafficked young women. The Track of Sand begins with a horse's carcass on the beach and unravels into a tale of wealth and deceit. The Potter's Field, winner of the CWA International Dagger, sees the inspector confront a dismembered body amid violent storms. The Age of Doubt follows a chance encounter that spirals into a harbour mystery, while The Dance of the Seagull opens with a dying bird and closes on a darker note. The Treasure Hunt turns Montalbano into an unlikely hero after a bizarre balcony shooting, and in Angelica's Smile he investigates burglaries among Vigàta's elite. Game of Mirrors begins with a favour for a neighbour and ends in a web of loyalties, Blade of Light opens with a robbery turned personal, and A Voice in the Night finds the ageing inspector confronting mortality through a road rage case. Together, these ten novels showcase Camilleri's gift for blending procedural detail, social observation, and warm, wry humour into a series beloved by crime fiction readers worldwide.
