Overview
This seven-book paperback collection brings together Isaac Asimov's celebrated Robot Series in one covetable set. From the genre-defining short stories of I, Robot to the sweeping galactic politics of Robots and Empire, these novels trace humanity's uneasy, fascinating relationship with artificial intelligence. Featuring detective Elijah Baley, android R. Daneel Olivaw, and robopsychologist Dr Susan Calvin, this collection is essential reading for science fiction fans and anyone building a serious sci-fi library.
About the Books
Isaac Asimov's Robot Series stands among the most influential works in science fiction, and this set gathers seven cornerstone titles into one package. I, Robot introduces the Three Laws of Robotics through linked short stories, following engineers Powell and Donovan and robopsychologist Dr Susan Calvin. The Rest of the Robots continues this exploration, asking whether robots could serve in wartime, be raised like children, or be trusted to work unsupervised among humans. The Complete Robot expands on both, combining their contents with further stories not found elsewhere, including the Hugo and Nebula Award-winning novella "The Bicentennial Man." The set then moves into Asimov's robot detective novels: The Caves of Steel pairs Elijah Baley with robot R. Daneel Olivaw to solve a murder on a claustrophobic future Earth; The Naked Sun sends the pair to Solaria for an impossible crime; and The Robots of Dawn takes them to Aurora for a roboticide with galaxy-spanning consequences. Finally, Robots and Empire leaps two centuries forward, connecting the Robot novels to Asimov's wider Foundation universe. Together, these seven books offer a complete journey through one of science fiction's most enduring series.
About the Author
Isaac Asimov (1920–1992) was an American author and professor of biochemistry at Boston University, widely regarded as one of the "Big Three" science fiction writers alongside Robert A. Heinlein and Arthur C. Clarke. Prolific across genres, he wrote or edited more than 500 books, spanning science fiction and popular science. His Robot and Foundation series remain foundational texts of the genre, and his short story "Nightfall" was voted the best science fiction short story of all time by the Science Fiction Writers of America.
Why You'll Love This Collection
A must-have for sci-fi devotees, this set delivers Asimov's most influential robot fiction in one convenient paperback bundle — intelligent, thought-provoking, and endlessly re-readable.
