About the Author
Kenneth Martin Follett (born 5 June 1949) is a Welsh author of thrillers and historical novels. Follett's commercial breakthrough came with the spy thriller Eye of the Needle (1978). After further best-sellers in that genre through the 1980s, he moved into historical fiction with The Pillars of the Earth (1989), an epic tale of twelfth-century England that became his best-known work and launched the Kingsbridge series. He has continued writing across both genres ever since, including the Century Trilogy, and his books have sold in over 80 countries worldwide.
