Overview
Lord of Chaos is the sixth instalment in Robert Jordan's legendary Wheel of Time saga, one of the most influential and best-loved epic fantasy series ever written. As the Last Battle draws ever closer, Rand al'Thor must unite a fractured world against the encroaching Shadow. Packed with political intrigue, magic, prophecy and war, this brand-new paperback edition is essential reading for fans following Rand's journey from Book 5 and continuing the story that has captivated millions of readers, and more recently, viewers of the hit Prime Video adaptation.
About the Book
The Wheel of Time turns, and the world edges closer to the Last Battle. In Lord of Chaos, Rand al'Thor, the Dragon Reborn, strives to bind the fractious nations of the world to his will, forging the uneasy alliances that will be needed to face the advance of the Shadow. Yet even as he prepares the forces of Light, other powers are manoeuvring for control of the coming war. Within the White Tower, the Amyrlin Elaida sets a dangerous snare intended to trap the Dragon Reborn, while the rebel Aes Sedai plot to bring her down and seize control of the Tower for themselves. Meanwhile, the immortal Forsaken and the servants of the Dark Lord scheme in the shadows, readying their own assault on Rand and everything he has built. Robert Jordan weaves together dozens of storylines across a richly imagined world, blending high fantasy, political drama and mythic prophecy, deepening the lore established across the earlier books and raising the stakes for every major character. This instalment marks a pivotal turning point in the war between Light and Shadow.
