Overview
Marv and the Ultimate Superpower is a brilliant World Book Day 2024 special from bestselling author Alex Falase-Koya, celebrating the biggest superpower of all - kindness. Perfect for confident young readers aged 5-7, this fun paperback packs five action-packed mini superhero adventures into one brilliantly illustrated, budget-friendly book. It's an ideal pick for World Book Day, reluctant readers, or any child who loves a laugh-out-loud superhero story with heart.
About the Book
When ordinary boy Marvin puts on his homemade superhero suit, he transforms into the unstoppable, invincible MARV - a hero whose powers are fuelled entirely by imagination. In this World Book Day special, young readers join Marv for five brilliantly funny, fast-paced mini tales packed with trouble, mischief and larger-than-life supervillains to defeat. From Professor Feather and his dreaded Duck of Doom, to the sinister Conjurer and her laser-blasting battle spaceships, Marv always finds a way to save the day - proving that the ultimate superpower isn't super strength or flight, but kindness. Written in short, punchy chapters with Paula Bowles' brilliant two-colour illustrations bursting off every page, this is the perfect introduction to chapter books for newly confident readers, and a fantastic follow-up for fans of Marv and the Mega Robot, in which Marvin first gets his super-suit and becomes a hero. Funny, fast-paced and full of positive messages about imagination and kindness, this World Book Day title is designed to be quick and satisfying to finish, building reading confidence and a lifelong love of stories in young readers.
