Overview
Discover one of literature's most influential voices in this handsomely bound deluxe leatherbound edition, bringing together Franz Kafka's most celebrated novels, stories and letters in a single volume. Perfect for dedicated readers, students, or anyone building a classic library, this collection showcases Kafka's gift for turning ordinary anxieties into unforgettable, unsettling fiction. From a man waking as an insect to a faceless bureaucracy swallowing an innocent defendant, these are the stories that gave the world the word "Kafkaesque" and remain as resonant today as when they were written.

About the Book(s)
This deluxe leatherbound volume gathers the core of Franz Kafka's extraordinary body of work, pairing his fiction with his private correspondence. At its heart sits The Metamorphosis, the haunting novella in which salesman Gregor Samsa wakes to find himself transformed into a monstrous insect, forcing his family and himself to confront identity, duty and isolation. Alongside it stands The Trial, Kafka's chilling vision of a man arrested and prosecuted by a remote, inaccessible authority for a crime never named, and The Castle, his unfinished masterpiece following a land surveyor's futile attempts to reach the authorities governing his village. The edition also includes a selection of Kafka's shorter stories, distilling his blend of dark comedy and fable, and his deeply personal Letters to Milena, offering a candid glimpse of the man behind the fiction. Together, these works trace the arc of Kafka's genius, from surreal allegory to raw emotional honesty, bound in rich leather with gilded detailing and designed to be read, displayed and treasured for years to come.

About the Author
Franz Kafka (1883-1924) was a German-language writer born in Prague, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Working for most of his life as an insurance official, he wrote fiction largely in private, publishing only a handful of stories during his lifetime. It was only after his death, when his friend Max Brod defied Kafka's wish to have his manuscripts destroyed, that novels such as The Trial and The Castle reached the public. Today Kafka is recognised as one of the most significant figures in twentieth-century literature, his name forever linked to the eerie, bureaucratic unease now known as "Kafkaesque".
