Overview
This three-book paperback collection brings together the incredible true story and hard-hitting fiction debut of Ollie Ollerton, the former Special Forces soldier and star of Channel 4's SAS: Who Dares Wins. Battle Ready and Break Point chart his journey from brutal SAS selection to personal rock bottom and back, while Scar Tissue launches his Alex Abbott thriller series with a gripping tale of ex-Special Forces intrigue in Singapore and Baghdad.
About the Books
Battle Ready follows Ollie Ollerton as he survives the notoriously gruelling SAS selection process on a broken ankle, only to face his toughest battle back home: a failed relationship, substance abuse, depression and a total disregard for his own safety. He shares the step-by-step method he used to turn his life around, helping readers break bad habits and build the resilience to face their own battles.
Break Point: SAS: Who Dares Wins Host's Incredible True Story goes further into Ollerton's extraordinary career, from Royal Marines Commando to the Special Boat Service, private security work in Iraq, and anti-trafficking missions in Thailand. It's a raw account of hardened criminals, high-speed pursuits, counter-terrorism operations and genuine humanitarian heroics.
Scar Tissue marks Ollerton's fiction debut, introducing ex-Special Forces soldier Alex Abbott. Having fled the Middle East under a cloud, Abbott scrapes a living as a gun for hire in Singapore, haunted by his past and drinking to numb the pain — until old ghosts drag him back towards Baghdad. It's the first instalment in the Alex Abbott Thriller series, combining military authenticity with fast-paced storytelling.
About the Author
Matthew "Ollie" Ollerton is a former Special Forces soldier and one of the original Directing Staff on Channel 4's SAS: Who Dares Wins and SAS Australia. He joined the Royal Marine Commandos at 18, served in Northern Ireland and Iraq, and spent six years in the Special Boat Service. After leaving the military he worked as a private security contractor and undertook anti-child-trafficking charity work in South-East Asia. He is now an entrepreneur and mental resilience advocate.
