Zanib Mian is a British author and illustrator, and a former science teacher, who created the Planet Omar series to bring more diverse, funny and relatable stories to children's shelves. She is also the founder of Sweet Apple Publishing and Muslim Children's Books, initiatives dedicated to championing inclusive children's literature.
