Overview:
Step into Stoke-on-Trent's famous Potteries with Lynn Johnson's beloved saga series, gathered as a five-book paperback set. Following the interlinked lives of Ginnie, Constance, Betty, Martha and Ruth, these WW1-era sagas explore workhouse hardship, tram-yard friendships and the fight for independence, ideal for readers who love resilient heroines and hidden romance set against real Staffordshire history.

About the Books:
The series opens with The Girl from the Workhouse, where young Ginnie Jones is sent to Haddon Workhouse after her family falls on hard times, forging bonds with fellow orphans Clara and Sam before working as a mouldrunner in the Potteries, only for war to threaten everything she has rebuilt. Wartime with the Tram Girls follows Constance Copeland, who hides her privileged background to become a tram clippie as WW1 changes Britain, finding friendship and romance among the tram-yard women. In The Potteries Girls on the Home Front, Betty Dean's search for independence leads to service in Cheshire and a secret that could ruin her reputation. A New Day at Paradise Pottery tells of Martha Owen, whose difficult home life pushes her towards independence as WW1 strains reach the pottery works. The set closes with Heartache For The Tram Girls, where Ruth finds comfort in a gentle mechanic amid grief and rivalry. Together, these sagas paint a vivid portrait of women's working lives in Staffordshire, blending heartbreak, hope and hard-won happy endings.

About the Author:
Lynn Johnson was born and raised in the Potteries and went to school in Burslem, the setting for many of her novels, leaving with no formal qualifications. She gained a BA Hons in Humanities with Literature from the Open University and a Diploma in Management Studies from Staffordshire Polytechnic, becoming a Human Resources Manager for a large county council. Researching her family tree inspired the short stories that became her debut novel, The Girl from the Workhouse, launching The Potteries Girls series. Lynn is a member of the Romantic Novelists' Association and the Society of Authors, and now lives in Orkney with her husband and six cats.

Why You'll Love This Collection:
Five heartfelt, interconnected sagas of courage, friendship and love set against real Potteries history - an emotional series for devoted fans of wartime family drama.
