About the Books:
This collection continues the Redwall saga with six standalone adventures set in and around the legendary Abbey. In The Bellmaker, Joseph races to rescue his daughter Mariel from the sinister Foxwolf. Outcast of Redwall follows the bitter rivalry between ferret Swartt Sixclaw and badger Sunflash the Mace, exploring exile and redemption. The Pearls of Lutra introduces ruthless Emperor Ublaz and his lizard army, whose invasion sparks a swashbuckling quest. The Long Patrol follows young hare Tammo as he strives to join the elite fighting force of the same name. Marlfox uncovers the greedy schemes of Queen Silth and her shapeshifting clan, as Redwall's creatures band together to stop her. Finally, The Legend of Luke looks back to the earlier life of Martin the Warrior's father, tracing a voyage of discovery and legacy. Across all six books, Jacques delivers vivid animal characters, richly imagined medieval-style settings and page-turning battles between good and evil. Each story stands alone but adds depth to the wider Redwall world, ideal for readers wanting more of its history or newcomers happy with self-contained adventures full of heart and heroism.
About the Author:
Brian Jacques (1939-2011) was a British author best known for creating the Redwall series, which grew to twenty-two novels following the animal inhabitants of Redwall Abbey. A former merchant sailor, van driver and radio presenter, Jacques began writing the first Redwall book at a school for the blind in Liverpool, reading aloud chapters as he wrote them. His vivid descriptions and larger-than-life animal characters won him a devoted global readership, and the Redwall series remains a cornerstone of modern children's fantasy fiction.
Why You'll Love This Redwall Collection:
Six thrilling paperback adventures, each packed with courage, humour and heart, continuing the much-loved Redwall saga. A brilliant treat for young fantasy fans and a lasting shelf addition.
