About the Book(s)
This five-book collection opens with A Study in Scarlet & The Sign of the Four, the two novellas that first introduced Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson and established their legendary partnership. The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes follows with twelve short stories that cemented Holmes's reputation as the world's foremost consulting detective, showcasing his sharp powers of observation and deduction. The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes deepens the portrait of the detective, exploring his methods and his rivalry with Professor Moriarty. The Return of Sherlock Holmes brings the detective back from apparent death to tackle a fresh set of ingenious puzzles, while His Last Bow closes the set with later tales blending espionage, wit, and international intrigue. Together, these five volumes trace Holmes's story from his first case through to his most mature adventures, offering armchair sleuths hours of gripping, cleverly plotted mystery. Presented with modern cover art and packaged in a sturdy slipcase, this Arcturus Classic Collections edition makes classic detective fiction feel fresh and giftable, while remaining faithful to Conan Doyle's original texts. Whether read cover to cover or dipped into story by story, this collection offers an authoritative, highly readable introduction to the world's most famous detective.
