Overview
Spare is Prince Harry's raw and deeply personal memoir, published in January 2023 and instantly recognised as one of the most talked-about royal books of the decade. Written with striking candour, it traces Harry's journey from a grieving twelve-year-old boy to a husband, father, and military veteran forging his own path outside the institution he was born into. This brand-new UK hardback edition is a must-have for readers fascinated by modern royal history, memoir, and the human story behind the headlines.

About the Book
Before losing his mother, Harry was known as the carefree "Spare" to his brother's more serious "Heir." Grief changed everything, and the book charts his struggles with anger, loneliness, and the press he blamed for his mother's death. At twenty-one he joined the British Army, finding structure and purpose through two combat tours that made him a hero at home, even as post-traumatic stress and panic attacks took their toll behind the scenes. The narrative then turns to his relationship with Meghan Markle, describing the whirlwind romance and fairy-tale wedding that captured global attention, followed by the intense press scrutiny, racism, and abuse the couple faced. Harry recounts the difficult decision to step back from royal duties and leave the UK to protect his family's safety and mental health, drawing striking parallels to the experiences of his mother decades earlier. Told with unflinching honesty, Spare offers an unprecedented first-person account of life inside the House of Windsor, exploring grief, identity, duty, love, and resilience, and cementing its place as a landmark contemporary memoir.
