Overview
Wind and Truth is the explosive fifth novel in Brandon Sanderson's Number One New York Times bestselling series, The Stormlight Archive. Closing the first major arc of the saga, this instalment brings the conflict between the Knights Radiant and the god Odium to a head. Spanning the final ten days before a contest deciding the fate of an entire world, it is a sweeping, high-stakes finale longtime readers have anticipated for years.
About the Book
Dalinar Kholin has challenged the evil god Odium to a contest of champions, with the future of the world of Roshar riding on the outcome. The Knights Radiant have only ten days left to prepare, and matters are thrown into chaos by the sudden ascension of the crafty and ruthless Taravangian, who moves to take Odium's place. Desperate fighting rages simultaneously across the world: Adolin battles in Azimir, Sigzil and Venli fight at the Shattered Plains, and Jasnah defends Thaylen City. Meanwhile, the former assassin Szeth must cleanse his homeland of Shinovar from the dark influence of the Unmade, accompanied by Kaladin, who is waging a new battle helping Szeth confront his own inner demons - and must do the same for the insane Herald of the Almighty, Ishar. Elsewhere, Shallan, Renarin, and Rlain work to unravel the mystery of the Unmade Ba-Ado-Mishram, while Dalinar and Navani search for an edge against Odium's champion in the shifting, chaotic Spiritual Realm. With the fate of the entire Cosmere hanging in the balance, Wind and Truth delivers the climactic confrontation this storyline has been building towards across four previous volumes.
