Overview
The Susanna Bailey 3 Books Collection Set brings together three of the author's best-loved middle-grade novels — Snow Foal, Otters' Moon and Raven Winter — in one heartwarming paperback bundle. Each story follows a young protagonist facing difficult family circumstances who finds healing and hope through an unexpected bond with an animal. Set against evocative British landscapes, from Exmoor moorland to a remote Scottish island and the wintery Yorkshire Dales, these are tender, emotionally rich reads for confident readers aged 8 to 12.

About the Books
In Snow Foal, eleven-year-old Addie is sent to a foster family on a remote Exmoor farm during a bitterly cold winter. Full of hurt and mistrust, she rescues a tiny wild foal abandoned in the snow, and as she nurses it back to health, Addie slowly begins to rebuild her sense of home. Otters' Moon follows Luke, who resents his father's new family and his mother's fragile state of mind, as a holiday on a remote, sunless Scottish island brings him into contact with a girl named Meg and an orphaned otter pup they name Willow — a friendship that becomes a lifeline for them both. In Raven Winter, Billie's world has grown quiet and strained since her father went to prison and her mother's new boyfriend moved in. When she rescues an injured young raven, caring for the bird gives Billie purpose, friendship and hope of reuniting with her dad. All three novels share Susanna Bailey's signature blend of nature, resilience and gentle emotional depth, ideal for readers who enjoy Jacqueline Wilson and Gill Lewis.

  • Three emotionally rewarding novels by one acclaimed author in a single set
  • Gentle explorations of family change, resilience and belonging through animal companionship
  • Perfect for confident readers aged 8-12, including fans of Jacqueline Wilson and Gill Lewis
  • Compact paperback format, easy to pack for school, holidays or bedtime reading
  • A thoughtful gift set for birthdays, Christmas or encouraging a reluctant reader
  • Great addition to classroom reading corners or home libraries

About the Author
Susanna Bailey divides her time between writing, freelance social work and lecturing in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University, where she also studied. She wrote her debut novel, Snow Foal, during her MA in Writing for Young People, drawing inspiration from her tutor, award-winning author David Almond. Snow Foal was shortlisted for the Joan Aiken Future Classics Prize. Susanna's background in social work informs the sensitivity and authenticity with which she writes about children facing difficult circumstances, making her a trusted, compassionate voice in middle-grade fiction.

Why You'll Love This Collection
