Overview
This three-book paperback set brings together Susanna Clarke's most celebrated fiction: her Hugo Award-winning debut Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, its companion collection The Ladies of Grace Adieu, and the Women's Prize-winning Piranesi. Spanning sweeping alternate history and an intimate, dreamlike labyrinth, this bundle showcases the range of one of fantasy's most distinctive voices, making it an ideal introduction or upgrade for fans of atmospheric, character-driven storytelling.

About the Books
Piranesi follows a solitary narrator who meticulously records the wonders of the vast, labyrinthine House he calls home — endless halls lined with statues, tides that surge up staircases, and clouds drifting through upper galleries. His only companion is a mysterious figure known as the Other, until faint chalked messages begin appearing, hinting that someone else has entered the House and setting off a quiet mystery about memory and identity.

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell is set in 1806, in a version of England where practical magic has long faded into legend. When the reclusive scholar Mr Norrell resurfaces old magical arts and stuns the nation, he is soon challenged by a brilliant, reckless newcomer, Jonathan Strange. Their rivalry reshapes English magic and the course of the Napoleonic Wars, in a detailed pastiche of nineteenth-century prose that earned Clarke the Hugo Award.

The Ladies of Grace Adieu: and Other Stories collects short tales where the border between everyday life and Faerie blurs without warning. Petulant princesses, vengeful owls, cunning embroiderers, and shifting houses populate these stories, several of which cross paths with Clarke's Strange universe. The collection foregrounds women's ingenuity, offering a darker, folkloric counterpoint to the novels.

  • Three acclaimed works by an award-winning author in one convenient paperback set
  • Includes a Hugo Award winner, a Women's Prize winner, and a beloved short-story companion collection
  • Perfect for new readers wanting a complete introduction to Clarke's fiction
  • A thoughtful gift for fans of literary fantasy, gothic atmosphere, and richly imagined worldbuilding
  • Ideal for book clubs and shelves alike — each title stands alone yet rewards reading together
