Overview
This collection brings together eight instalments of Kathy Reichs's bestselling Temperance Brennan series, the forensic crime novels that inspired the TV show Bones. From a shallow grave in North Carolina to ancient relics in Israel, forensic anthropologist Tempe Brennan uses cutting-edge science to unravel the darkest mysteries. Perfect for fans filling gaps in their collection or new readers wanting a substantial introduction to crime fiction's most authentic heroine, all in brand-new paperback editions.
About the Books
Kathy Reichs writes with the authority of a real forensic anthropologist, and it shows throughout these eight novels. In Deja Dead, her acclaimed debut, Tempe uncovers a serial killer preying on Montreal women. Death Du Jour finds her investigating the exhumation of a would-be saint alongside a cult case. Monday Mourning confronts missing and unidentified persons buried beneath a Montreal pizzeria, while Cross Bones sends Tempe to Israel chasing a 2,000-year-old religious mystery. Devil Bones plunges her into a disturbing case involving ritual practices and skeletal remains found in a half-built church. 206 Bones sees Tempe wake in a shallow grave with no memory of how she got there, racing to identify her would-be killer. Spider Bones takes her from North Carolina to Hawaii chasing a soldier's remains, and Flash and Bones drops a body into the middle of NASCAR's Race Week chaos. Across all eight novels, Reichs combines meticulous forensic detail with fast-paced plotting, delivering mysteries that are scientifically fascinating and impossible to put down. Each book stands alone as a satisfying thriller, but together they showcase one of crime fiction's most distinctive characters.
