About the Author
Joseph Edward Abercrombie is an English author of epic fantasy, born in Lancaster in 1974. Before turning to writing full time, he worked as a freelance film editor. He is best known for The First Law trilogy and its subsequent standalone novels, including the three collected here, as well as The Age of Madness trilogy and a young adult trilogy. His novel Half a King won the Locus Award for Best Young Adult Book. Abercrombie lives and works in London.
