Overview
The List is the searing debut novel from award-winning journalist Yomi Adegoke, an instant Sunday Times bestseller and Richard and Judy Book Club pick. A gripping, of-the-moment thriller about reputation, betrayal and the dark side of social media, it follows high-flying journalist Ola Olajide as her seemingly perfect life unravels a month before her wedding, when an anonymous list resurfaces online with devastating consequences for her and her fiancé.

About the Book
Ola Olajide has it all: a rising career at Womxxxn magazine, a loving fiancé in Michael, and a wedding just weeks away. Then, one morning, both Ola and Michael wake to the same unsettling message: "Oh my god, have you seen The List?" A viral, anonymous document naming men accused of sexual misconduct has resurfaced online — and Michael's name is on it. As the countdown to the wedding continues, Ola is forced to confront uncomfortable questions about loyalty, truth, and the mob justice of the internet age, while her own career and reputation hang in the balance. Told with pace, wit and unflinching honesty, The List draws on Adegoke's own background as a journalist covering race, gender and digital culture to interrogate what happens when private lives collide with public judgement online. It has been widely praised by critics and fellow novelists alike, with reviewers calling it a timely, unputdownable read that captures the anxiety of living life in the age of social media pile-ons, cancel culture and viral shaming. Fans of psychological thrillers and sharp contemporary fiction will find themselves gripped from the opening pages to its tense, thought-provoking conclusion.
