Overview:
Thrown is the wise, warm and gloriously big-hearted debut novel from beloved broadcaster Sara Cox. Set on the ramshackle Inventor's Housing Estate, it follows Becky, a single mum determined to breathe new life into her community centre, and the three women whose lives are transformed when they sign up to her pottery class. Funny, tender and deeply relatable, this Sunday Times bestseller celebrates friendship, second chances and the quiet courage it takes to reshape a life - one lump of clay at a time.

About the Book:
Becky prides herself on her independence and has learned, from painful experience, that men are trouble. When she launches a pottery class at the local community centre to keep it afloat, she has no idea it will change everything. Louise has a loving husband and family but feels invisible in her own home; Jameela is starting to wonder if the life she has built is really the one she wants; and Sheila, whose nest is finally empty, dreams of escaping to the sun while her husband grows strangely distant. As the soft, unremarkable lumps of clay are hesitantly moulded into delicate vases and majestic pots, so too are the lives of the four women slowly reshaped. Concealed passions and heartaches are uncovered, relationships are shattered and formed anew, and the possibility of transformation is revealed to them all. Written with the same warmth and humour that has made Sara Cox a much-loved voice on British radio, Thrown balances laugh-out-loud moments with genuine emotional depth, celebrating ordinary women finding extraordinary strength in unexpected friendships.
