Overview
Meet Timmy Failure - self-declared founder, president and CEO of Total Failure, Inc., the "greatest" detective agency in town. Armed with wild overconfidence and a polar bear sidekick named Total, Timmy blunders through seven riotous cases in this complete paperback collection. Combining laugh-out-loud illustrated storytelling with clever mystery plots, the series is a New York Times bestselling favourite for readers who love Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Big Nate.
About the Books
This seven-book paperback set follows Timmy Failure's chaotic rise (and frequent fall) as he builds a detective empire from his bedroom, armed only with unearned confidence and an enormous polar bear named Total. Mistakes Were Made introduces his world-domination dreams and first big case. Now Look What You've Done sees him chasing a stolen globe and a $500 prize, while We Meet Again throws fresh curveballs at his ambitions. Sanitized for Your Protection sends him on a road trip with "notorious criminal" Molly Moskins, and The Book You're Not Supposed to Have reveals his stolen, never-meant-for-publication detective log. In The Cat Stole My Pants, the action shifts to Key West - though crime never takes a holiday. The collection closes with It's the End When I Say It's the End, as Timmy takes charge of his class's Christmas film with disastrous results. Each book blends Pastis's comic-strip illustrations with laugh-out-loud prose, delivering fast-paced stories for reluctant and enthusiastic readers alike, packed with puns, mysteries and gloriously misguided logic.
