About the Books
Created by Belgian artist Hergé, The Adventures of Tintin is one of the most celebrated comic-strip series of the twentieth century, beloved by generations of readers worldwide. This complete paperback set gathers all 23 official adventures, from the earliest black-and-white style stories through to the polished, colour masterpieces of the series' golden era. Tintin, accompanied by his faithful terrier Snowy, the blustering Captain Haddock, bumbling detectives Thomson and Thompson, and the eccentric Professor Calculus, travels the world uncovering smuggling rings, ancient treasures, political intrigue, and even journeys into space. Each volume is a self-contained adventure, packed with meticulously researched settings, sharp wit, and Hergé's instantly recognisable clear-line artwork. The stories blend humour, mystery, and historical detail, making them just as engaging for adults revisiting childhood favourites as for children discovering Tintin for the first time. This boxed set is the definitive way to own the entire series in one place, presented in good-quality paperback editions true to the original artwork and story order.
About the Author
Hergé, the pen name of Georges Remi, was a Belgian cartoonist and one of the most influential comic artists of the twentieth century. He created The Adventures of Tintin in 1929, and the series went on to sell hundreds of millions of copies worldwide, translated into dozens of languages. Hergé's pioneering "clear line" drawing style shaped generations of illustrators, and his work has influenced artists from Andy Warhol to Roy Lichtenstein. He continued writing and illustrating Tintin adventures until his death in 1983.
Why You'll Love This Set
