About the Author
Sally Smith is a barrister and King's Counsel who spent her entire working life in the Inner Temple. After writing a biography of the renowned Edwardian barrister Sir Edward Marshall Hall KC, she retired from the bar to write full time. Her debut novel was inspired by the historic surroundings in which she lived and worked, and by the rich archives of the Inner Temple.
