About the Author
Martin Handford (born 27 September 1956) is a British children's author and illustrator from London best known worldwide for his Where's Wally? series (published as Where's Waldo? in North America). As a child he loved drawing crowded, detailed scenes inspired by films and history books, a fascination that shaped his career as a freelance illustrator specialising in busy crowd artwork. Each Wally picture takes him months to complete, with Wally himself added once Handford finds "a good place to hide him." His books have sold more than 75 million copies worldwide.
